Can we take a moment to recognize how quickly this year has flown by? We truly can’t believe 2014 is already coming to an end and 2015 is right around the corner. For those who aren’t sure what to do in Oshkosh, WI on New Year’s Eve 2014, our team at Black Teak Properties is offering a few suggestions on what to do leading up to 2015.

What to do in Oshkosh, WI New Year’s Eve 2014

We’ve already mentioned the 2014 Oshkosh Celebration of Lights, but if you missed that blog post, we want to remind you that the event is still taking place. Menominee Park will be lit up with over half a million lights displayed along the Lake Winnebago’s shoreline. The sky will be lit up with festive, animated displays and visitors will be able to see the 100-foot tree as well as live reindeer. Admission is eight dollars, but that is money well spent when the entire family can welcome 2015 together in the company of whimsical light displays.

For a more lively New Year’s Eve celebration, Oshkosh visitors and residents can experience the New Year’s Eve Bash at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 1355 West 20th Street in Oshkosh. From 6 p.m to 1 a.m., visitors can enjoy great food and live music from Bad Habitz, a young three-piece band made up of talented siblings influenced by 70s and 80s rock and roll. Those interested in booking a reservation for the party can call 920-966-1300.

Those interested in participating in a more traditional New Year’s Eve celebration can visit some of our favorite local pubs in Downtown Oshkosh. Both Peabody’s Ale House and Bar430 will be serving patrons with their favorite beverages while they enjoy high-energy music in the company of friends, family and neighbors. Bar430 is also serving a New Year’s Eve three-course dinner special before the night of celebration begins.

From the Black Teak Properties family, we want to thank you for making 2014 such a successful and memorable year for us. We look forward to what 2015 has in store for us. Cheers!
